I am interested in booking a band, what do I do?
Head over to our "Enquiry Page" (Add Link), there you will find an online form to fill in asking for your name, date of the event, type of event, which band or package you were interested in and any extra details you think, we might find helpful for your personailised quote.
Should I be nervous about booking a band I have not seen before?
We totally understand concerns about booking a band you’ve not seen before.
I am booking a band, do you require a Deposit?
Yes, we require a deposit to be paid within 7 days of singing the contract to secure the date and musicians.
What happens if I want to cancel?
Cancellation is possible as long as it meets the requirements of the terms & conditions of our contract.
Can I choose the songs for the band?
If you would like to select all your favourite songs for your event, then our Duelling Piano show will be perfect for you, as you can request songs during the performance.
How far do you travel?
We travel both nationally and internationally to play at events.The quote will refelct the travel costs and accommadation if required.
How long do you take to set up & soundcheck?
We take great pride in the band set up looking great and the sound been perfect, therefore we require sufficent time for this:
How far in advance should I book a band?
Our busiest times are the summer and christmas, therefore it is wise to book 6 months in advance, however, there has been a growing trend in spring and winter weddings, so as earlier as possible is best.
Can you arrive in the morning to set up for an evening event?
Yes we can, because anything is possible at Thames Entertainment.
What happens if one of the band members can not play due to illness
It has never been a problem for us because Thames Entertainment has a team of incredible musicians and performers based in London who are all invloved in all types of professional productions from function bands, West End musicals, music bars to recording with major artists.
Can the band perform outside for a private event?
Open air events can be fantastic, and we are happy to play outside. However, we would need a suitable area, such as a covered stage or marquee/gazebo. Potential rainfall and other weather conditions need to be taken into account. We will require access to at least two 13amp power points.
Will I need to provide any equipment for the band?
All our bands are fully self contained with state-of-the-art PA system for up to 400 guests, sound desk and lights. The quality of our equipment is another element that allows us to bring you a top quality sound. We only use the best. We do require that the venue has at least two 13amp power points situated near the performance space.
Does the band provide music during breaks?
Yes, we cover the whole evening’s entertainment for you. Included in all our quotes is our recorded ‘DJ’ playlists from setting up till an hour after the last set. This is party music played via DJ software, through our state of the art PA system. We put this on for you before we play, during the interval and when we finish up until midnight. We have music of all styles. If you would prefer to provide your own party playlist, just put it on an ipod/ipad/phone and we can plug it into our system.
